Transitional Housing
Effective Housing Workshops are held weekly at our Center for Learning And Self Sufficiency (CLASS).
Workshops coordinated by our excellent Housing Specialist help develop the following skills:

• finding the right neighborhood
• rental application completion
• how to interview with brokers and landlords
• housing search techniques
• positive landlord relations
• good neighbor practices
• tenant rights and obligations
• basic household repairs
• household cleaning and management skills
• maintaining permanent housing

Family Advancement Workshops are held weekly at our Center for Learning And Self Sufficiency (CLASS).

Nazareth Housing provides a healthy dinner with family members, after which transitional housing residents participate in workshops lead by our professional social services staff, qualified professional consultants and highly trained volunteers.
Workshop topics include:

• parenting and family dynamics
• family health
• healthy relationships
• effective communication
• budgeting and money management
• debt reduction
• work readiness
• job advancement
• financial literacy

Artists All

Following a healthy meal with their parents, the children and youth of Nazareth Housing participate in our Artists All program. Using curriculum driven and project oriented activities, teams of trained volunteers provide exception art programming for the youth.
These art activities are offered in partnership with Art Start and New York Cares. This provides a way for the children to express themselves, have fun, cultivate creativity and build relationships with caring adults.

Homelessness Prevention
Nazareth Housing provides extensive support for households and individuals in need of assistance to retain stable housing.

We accept donations of good used furniture and household goods and provide families with free furniture assistance. >>More Info

Workshops and services are available to adults in work and family advancement efforts.
