I would like to thank Nazareth Housing, Inc. for providing financial assistance to me in my great time of need. Your organization was a lifesaver. Due to the severe economic crisis and other factors, I was not getting per diem assignments, as in the past, and had fallen behind in my rent and was facing possible eviction. With the help of a few other organizations, I was able to get Letters of Intent for part of the rent arrears. I prayed to God for a miracle. I discovered Nazareth Housing, Inc. Because Nazareth Housing, Inc. was willing to help me come up with the entire balance, I was able to get an Order To Show Cause to put the case back on the calendar. Two weeks later, when I returned to court, the judge barely gave me 8 business days to collect on the Letters of Intent, so time was of the essence. Thank you for working so expeditiously so that I was able to meet the deadline. I am ecstatic to report that because I was able to present checks for the entire past due balance, plus money orders for the current month’s rent and legal fees, the case was discontinued. It is very unsettling to know that you might loose your apartment. But because your wonderful organization came through for me in the last hour, I remain in the apartment where I have lived for almost 34 years and I have more peace of mind.
