December 5, 2009 Holiday Party

On Saturday, December 5, 2009 Nazareth Housing staff hosted 220 friends at our annual Holiday Party for transitional housing alumni/alumnae, community members and their families. Our thanks to Fr. Mampilly and Immaculate Conception parish for the use of the hall. We are grateful to the Real Estate Board of New York (R.E.B.N.Y.) and the students of NYU Newman Center for their generous assistance in supplying gifts. Heartfelt thanks to Marc Hudac and the Rotary Club of Wall Street who provided the wonderful luncheon and invited Santa to come and visit the children and distribute gifts. Thanks as well to the students from NYU Newman Center who provided craft activities for the children and helped with set up. The Newman Club celebrates yearly with us, festively attired with Santa hats or elf costumes, ready to spread the holiday cheer. The event was photographed by Cristina Castro Pelka as well as two volunteers, Alexis Davila and Alex Hernandez from The International Center of Photography at Hunts Point.
