Events with Nazareth Housing

Goldman Sachs-Community Team Works 2009

On June 12th three Nazareth Housing staff members along with twelve employees from Goldman Sachs embarked on a mission to replace wooden beds with new metallic ones in order to prevent bed bugs. The group convened at the CLASS location (East 6th Street) at 9:00 AM for a light breakfast where an informative video detailing Nazareth Housing’s mission was played for the volunteers. The Executive Director then fielded questions and spoke about the creation of the organization. After breakfast, the volunteers were split into groups of 4 and were able to replace 12 old beds while assembling the new ones. Overall, the day was a success and was enjoyed by both Goldman Sachs employees and the Nazareth Staff. We look forward to partnering with Goldman Sachs next year and anticipate a similarly successful project.
